Tripoli Competition Events and Records For those of you who are Tripoli members, you do have the opportunity to try and set a Tripoli altitude record, either as part of your regular flying or as part of a ROC Contest. If you think you might want to do this, you should of course be a Tripoli member. You should then familiarize yourself with the rules which can be found here on the Tripoli web site. The form you need to fill out to claim a record can be found here on the Tripoli web site. If you wish to claim a Tripoli record, it is your responsibility to get the forms, fill them out, and get the right people to sign them! Note on altimeters: If you are planning on flying in the ROC Contest, and think you might also want to claim a Tripoli record, you should be aware that Tripoli is more strict in regards to the brands of altimeters that may be accepted. As of February 2006, altimeter brands that are approved for Tripoli altitude records are: GWiz, RDAS, Adept, and Missile Works. Altimeters from PerfectFlite and others MAY be allowed, but please check with Tom Rouse at Tripoli first!
