Rocketry Organization of California

To support Scouting and other youth groups in the Southern California area, the Rocketry Organization of California (ROC) is hosting ROCtoberfest on October 11 & 12, 2008, at Lucerne Dry Lake in Lucerne Valley, CA. Camping is allowed (and encouraged), and portable toilets will be provided from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. All standard launch equipment is provided, with rods from 1/8" to 1/2" diameter, along with plenty of launch rails.

Saturday will be an open launch day, and Sunday will be restricted to youth groups and their leaders only. Launch fees for youth groups are always just $1 per child per day, and ROC's standard launch fees are just $10 per person per day for nonmembers of ROC.

ROC is Section #538 of the National Association of Rocketry, and Prefecture #48 of the Tripoli Rocketry Association. All launches are safety-conscious, family-oriented events, designed to promote a fun and positive atmosphere, where rockets of all sizes are welcome.
