Rocket motor usage sorted according to impulse class
(Note: only one L motor was fired)
Motor impulse ranged from the unassuming 1/2A (there were 7 fired) to three majestic M1939’s (as well as lesser M’s). Of all the motors launched, 502 were black powder, 441 were composite, and 14 were hybrid. The most popular by a wide margin, accounting for half the BP flights, was the venerable C6.  There were enough C motors fired to match the total impulse of a K660. (Now that would be a cluster – Andy Woerner, are you taking notes? Get Dennis Dinga to arrange the flash pan ignition.)
High usage of C motors reflects the steady stream of model rockets that kept the front pads busy all weekend.  Besides individuals and families, the strong showing of the model rocket ranks was bolstered by fliers from Boy Scouts of America Troops 29,101, 209, 303, 421, and 658.  Many of these scouts were in pursuit of Space Exploration Merit Badges. Representatives from Civil Air Patrol Squadrons 51, 64 and 109 were noted as well.  (Other Troops and squadrons may have been present but escaped my attention.)
Though the high power flights grabbed a lot of notice, ROCstock 19 was clearly about and supportive of model rocketry.
